What is DAC? Benefits your residents may be missing

Level: Intermediate

Disabled Adult Child (DAC) benefits are a social security entitlement of many persons with disabilities. The recent DAC project conducted by the Ohio Medical Colleges Government Resource Center found ICF/IID consumers across the state eligible for these benefits. The DAC project is continuing in 2013 and will included HCBS waiver recipients. Learn more about the initial pilot project results and findings, the impact on individuals, providers and how it relates to changes within the industry. GRC staff and consultants will share tips for navigating the social security application process and practices that will enable timely benefit awards for residents.
