Assessment & Documentation of Pressure Ulcer

Level: Advanced

Accurate assessment of a pressure ulcer is important as it evaluates the effectiveness of the overall course of treatment and determines the type of topical support needed. This course will provide the participant with the information needed to complete a comprehensive assessment of a pressure ulcer. This course will outline the pressure ulcer staging system, wound measurement, wound base description, peri-wound, drainage, odor, tunneling, undermining and pain assessment.
